Tottenham Hotspur may visit Korea on a summer pre-season tour.
South Korea's "Hankyung" said in an exclusive report that South Korea's OTT platform and giant online shopping site Coupang is negotiating to invite Tottenham.
According to the report, Coupang has already completed much of the negotiations with Tottenham. Coupang also wants to invite Mallorca, which includes Lee Kang-in, a young Korean player. Maybe Tottenham and Mallorca will play pre-season games in Korea.
The report said, "It is expensive to invite teams. However, Coupang is determined to hold a sports big event enjoyed by Koreans and many," he said. In Korea, Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in are national stars.
Coupang is reportedly considering the match between Tottenham and the K League All-Star team following the match between Tottenham and Mallorca.
Of course, there is one very important condition for Tottenham's visit to Korea. Not only Tottenham but also other teams. The situation related to COVID-19, which has been bothering the world for years, should improve. Currently, everyone entering Korea is required to self-isolate for 10 days regardless of vaccination and PCR tests. In addition, two PCR tests during this period are also mandatory.
