Kim Min-jae failed to stop the opposing attacker in a preemptive goal situation. However, there were other players who were pointed out as the most regrettable after the loss to Feyenoord.

Feyenoord, who played the 7th round of the 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League (UCL) league phase at the Stadion Feyenoord in Rotterdam, Netherlands, won 3-0 against Bayern Munich.

Feyenoord reached 13 points with 4 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, greatly increasing their chances of advancing to the round of 16. Bayern stayed at 12 points with 4 wins and 3 losses, placing them even lower than Feyenoord. Bayern still has a high chance of advancing to the round of 16, but they have effectively missed the direct qualification spot given to the 8th place team, and the possibility of having to go through the playoffs given to the 15th to 24th places has increased dramatically.

The ‘Korean Derby’ was highly anticipated, but Hwang In-beom did not return from injury, and Kim Min-jae, who played as Bayern’s starting center back, was substituted in the 17th minute of the second half. It was regrettable that Kim Min-jae failed to intercept the pass when Santiago Jimenez scored in the 21st minute of the first half.

However, according to the soccer statistics company ‘Fotmob’, Kim Min-jae’s rating was 6.9, which was in the middle of the team. There were 5 starting members with lower ratings.

The player with the lowest rating was goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who received harsh criticism with 4.9. The decisive factor was that he conceded all 3 of the opponent’s effective shots. On this day, Bayern succeeded in controlling the game with 80% possession, 30 shots to 8, 6 shots to 3 effective shots, and an expected goal (xG) of 2.80 to 1.75. However, they suffered a crushing defeat after failing to stop the opponent’s 3 quick attacks. Neuer's failure to make a single save had an impact. On the other hand, Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Balo was named the official man of the match after stopping all six of Bayern's shots on target.
