European professional football clubs are sending messages of condolence in Korean to those affected by the wildfires in Korea.

South Korea's national football team captain Son Heung-min's team Tottenham Hotspur said on their social media, "We express our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the massive wildfires in South Korea." They added, "We sincerely hope that everyone who is working day and night will be safe. We sincerely hope that the wildfires will be extinguished as soon as possible so that everyone can return to their peaceful daily lives."

The wildfire that broke out in Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do on the 21st crossed the border of Jirisan National Park on the 26th and headed toward Cheonwangbong. The wildfire that started in Ulju, Ulsan moved southward that afternoon and threatened Busan. According to forest authorities, the area burned by this wildfire, which will be recorded as the worst wildfire in history, is approximately 65,000 hectares. This is equivalent to the size of 91,000 soccer fields. In this area, houses, factories, temples, and cultural assets were severely damaged by the fire. There were casualties and deaths, and 27,000 people were displaced.

A message of concern for the damage caused by the wildfires in the Yeongnam region was also posted on the SNS of Bayern Munich, where national team defender Kim Min-jae plays. Munich said, "Our hearts and prayers are with all those affected during this difficult time." Paris Saint-Germain, the team of midfielder Lee Kang-in, expressed support on SNS, saying, "We sincerely hope for the safety of all those who are risking their lives and working day and night to fight the fires. We sincerely hope that everyone can return to their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible."

Manchester United also posted a message of condolences. Manchester United's SNS said, "The beautiful mountains and rivers of the Republic of Korea are groaning in flames. Our hearts and prayers are with all those who have been affected. We earnestly pray that the fires will be put out as soon as possible so that our precious daily lives and homes can be restored to peace, and that the welcome spring rain will come and comfort everyone." Although Manchester United currently does not have any Korean players, it was once known as the 'national club' thanks to the performance of Park Ji-sung, who was once called the icon of Korean soccer. Park Ji-sung played for Manchester United for eight years from 2005 to 2012, winning the EPL four times and the UEFA Champions League once.
