Jang Hyun-soo renewed his contract with Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal.
Al Hilal said in an official announcement that it will implement the option to extend the contract with Jang Hyun-soo.
Jang initially moved from Japan's FC Tokyo to Al Hilal in 2019. At the time, he signed a three-year contract, and the club had the option of a one-year extension.
The renewal of Jang Hyun-soo's contract with Al Hilal is an option for an extension agreed at the time.
Al Hilal announced the deal and described it as "Jang is always blue."
Jang played steadily as a defender for Al Hilal. So far, he has scored three goals in 115 appearances for Al Hilal. He led the Saudi league three times and the AFC Champions League two times.
Ahead of the end of the contract between Jang Hyun-soo and Al Hilal, there have been many rumors that Ulsan Hyundai of the K League is interested in him. However, Al Hilal decided to protect Jang.
