Bayern Munich appear to have found a suitor for wantaway centre-back Kim Min-jae, according to Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport. AC Milan, led by new boss Massimiliano Allegri, have made the 28-year-old South Korea international their priority signing for the summer. Kim’s exit looks increasingly likely, though Bayern may have to accept a significant financial hit compared to the €50 million they paid Napoli just two years ago.

Meanwhile, Milan’s transfer window has kicked off with a bang. According to Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews.it, several key players are being targeted by top European clubs. Tijjani Reijnders is set to join Manchester City pending his medical, while goalkeeper Mike Maignan is being heavily linked with a move to Chelsea. Allegri, however, is determined to keep the French shot-stopper at San Siro.

One player Allegri and Milan refuse to lose is Rafael Leão. MilanNews.it reports that Bayern Munich are keen to bolster their attack and have identified the Portuguese winger as their top target. The Italian giants, though, are holding firm at a price tag close to his €175 million release clause and would only consider offers in excess of €130 million.

Bayern, who couldn’t match Liverpool’s offer for Florian Wirtz, have reportedly tabled a package worth €70-75 million plus a player — with Kim, Coman or Goretzka offered as makeweights. While the final decision from Milan is pending, Allegri and technical director Tare have reiterated that Leão is central to their plans.

Christian Falk of BILD also weighed in on Bayern’s Leão pursuit, revealing that while Bayern’s Nils Schmadtke is an admirer, the German champions view the €100 million price tag as too steep.

With Allegri making it clear that he wants Kim Min-jae to anchor his defence, a fascinating transfer saga is brewing. Could Bayern’s Korean star be the key to unlocking Milan’s Leão — or will Liverpool’s continued pursuit of Kim complicate matters even further? Fans across Europe will be watching closely as these negotiations unfold.
