The race for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025™ is entering its decisive stretch, and fans now have their first chance to secure seats for December’s trio of showpiece fixtures at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
Visa cardholders were handed an exclusive week-long presale window from 15:00 Qatari time today (Saturday), with tickets available solely via FIFA.com/tickets. Prices start at QAR 20, and each purchaser can buy up to six seats per transaction. General sales will begin on Saturday, 22 November.
The Intercontinental Cup, revamped last year, brings together the reigning champions of all six continental confederations in a streamlined annual competition. Real Madrid lifted the 2024 edition after defeating Pachuca before nearly 70,000 spectators at Lusail Stadium, and Qatar will again host the climactic final stage next month.
All three matches — the FIFA Derby of the Americas, the FIFA Challenger Cup and the Intercontinental Cup final — will be staged in Al Rayyan at the venue that hosted seven matches during the FIFA World Cup 2022™. Kick-off for all games is set for 20:00 local time.
The run-in begins on 10 December, when Cruz Azul, winners of the Concacaf Champions Cup, face the victor of the all-Brazilian CONMEBOL Libertadores final between Palmeiras and Flamengo, who meet in Lima on 29 November. The winner of that Derby of the Americas will advance to the FIFA Challenger Cup on 13 December, where they will take on Pyramids FC. The Egyptian side earned their place after overcoming Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli to win the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup.
The competition concludes on 17 December with the Intercontinental Cup final, in which the Challenger Cup champions will meet last season’s UEFA Champions League holders, Paris Saint-Germain, for what FIFA describes as the “ultimate annual club prize”.
Qatar continues to position itself as a global hub for FIFA tournaments. Alongside hosting the final stages of last year’s Intercontinental Cup and the club world showpiece in 2019 and 2020, the country is currently staging the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ and will welcome both the qualifying and final phases of the FIFA Arab Cup™ in the coming weeks.
Visa, a long-standing worldwide FIFA partner, remains the exclusive payment method during the presale period and the preferred way to purchase both tickets and hospitality packages.
