There are rumors that Lee Kang-in could play on the same team as Son Heung-min and Yang Min-hyeok.
On the 13th, British soccer media outlet On the Minute reported, "Tottenham Hotspur is showing interest in recruiting Lee Kang-in. Tottenham could continue to wait until the summer transfer market after the winter transfer market before recruiting Lee Kang-in."
The media outlet said that in addition to Tottenham, there are also Manchester United, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League (EPL) that are targeting Lee Kang-in. The media outlet estimates that Lee Kang-in's transfer fee will be 40 million euros (approximately 60 billion won).
There have been consistent rumors that EPL teams are looking to recruit Lee Kang-in. However, this is the first time that there have been rumors of a transfer to Tottenham.
However, Lee Kang-in's team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has stated that they have no intention of selling Lee Kang-in right now. Earlier, Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the European football transfer market, also said, "Despite the interest of two EPL clubs, Manchester United and Arsenal, PSG has no intention of selling Lee Kang-in in the winter transfer market this January."
Accordingly, On the Minute also predicted that Tottenham will wait until the summer transfer market to recruit Lee Kang-in rather than making an immediate transfer offer.
Lee Kang-in has been consistently active since transferring to PSG, but he has not been able to become a perfect starting player under manager Luis Enrique. Lee Kang-in, who wants to play more actively, has no choice but to consider transferring in order to become a starting player.
Lee Kang-in has played in 25 games, including the 'UEFA Champions League' and Ligue 1 in the 2024-2025 season, scoring 6 goals and 2 assists.
If Lee Kang-in's transfer to Tottenham goes through, it is expected to provide another attraction for Korean football fans. With Yang Min-hyeok already joining Tottenham following Son Heung-min, if Lee Kang-in joins as well, we will be able to see three representative Korean players playing on the same team.
