Tottenham Hotspur's greatest-ever player, Son Heung-min, appears set to remain in North London for at least one more season, following the club’s historic UEFA Europa League triumph.

With his current contract expiring on June 30, 2026, there had been growing uncertainty surrounding Son’s future. Multiple sources confirmed to Football-Asian.com that behind-the-scenes preparations had begun for a possible transfer this summer, particularly if Spurs had failed to lift the Europa League trophy.

But with silverware finally secured—after 17 long years—everything has changed.

“We’ve got two months to prepare for the UEFA Super Cup.” Son told reporters with a smile. 

Tottenham will face the winner of the UEFA Champions League final—Paris Saint-Germain or Inter Milan—on August 13, in Udine, Italy. It will be the club’s first-ever appearance in the prestigious one-off clash.

Son also spoke of his excitement for next season's Champions League campaign, a competition that has long eluded his personal trophy cabinet. His comments have all but confirmed that he will play the 2025–26 season at Tottenham, marking his 11th year with the club.
