The South Korean national football team will hold a training camp in Europe in January 2022. South Korea has two friendly matches.

The Korea Football Association announced that it will play friendly matches against Iceland on January 15, 2022 and Moldova on January 21, 2022.

South Korea's friendly match will be held at Mardan Stadium in Antalya, Turkey. This warm-up match will be held to check performance and maintain a sense of practice.

The South Korean national football team, led by head coach Paulo Bento, is set to play away matches in the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2022 Qatar World Cup final qualifying rounds against Lebanon on January 27, 2022 and Syria on February 1, 2022.

Iceland, where South Korea will play friendly matches, is ranked 62nd in the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) rankings and Moldova 181st. Korea is ranked 33rd.

This friendly match will not be held during the international match. Therefore, it is difficult for overseas players to call up. so Son Heung-min, Hwang Ui-jo, and Hwang Hee-chan are not called up. All of them will play in their clubs.

The Korea Football Association also announced a list of 26 national team players to participate in friendly matches against Iceland and Moldova. All of them are K League players.

The national football team will be called up on January 9 and stay until the 24th after leaving for Turkey on the same day. He will then move to Lebanon for the final qualifying round on the 25th.

In addition, if overseas players heading to Lebanon for the final qualifying round are confirmed, players who will be excluded from the list will return to South Korea.
