Serbian striker Fejsal Mulic has signed for Thai League giants Buriram United, marking the latest chapter in a nomadic career that has included a memorable four-year spell in South Korea’s K League.
Buriram officially confirmed the signing on 8 July via their club channels. The 2.03m-tall target man most recently featured in Kazakhstan with FC Yelimay, but opted for a swift exit to seal a move to Thailand’s most decorated club.
Mulic first arrived in Korea in 2021 with Seongnam FC, where his debut season in K League 1 saw him net 13 goals in 36 appearances — a tally that played a pivotal role in Seongnam’s top-flight survival. Despite his efforts the following year (9 goals in 33 games), the club ultimately suffered relegation.
He moved to Suwon Samsung Bluewings in 2023, where he experienced both relegation from K League 1 and a return campaign in the second division. Across two seasons with Suwon, he registered 14 goals in 57 league appearances.
In total, Mulic amassed 36 goals and 3 assists in 126 K League appearances, and earned cult-hero status among Korean fans. Nicknamed “Mul-Hwang” (a blend of “Mulic” and “emperor” in Korean), the imposing Serbian became known for his towering presence, rugged appearance, and ability to deliver in clutch moments — even as he was often criticised for his inconsistent aerial prowess and decision-making in front of goal.
While many foreign imports in the K League depart in anonymity, Mulic leaves behind a legacy marked by both affection and frustration. His knack for scoring in critical situations ensured his place in the memories of Seongnam and Suwon supporters alike.
After a brief stint in Kazakhstan, Mulic's move to Buriram United signals a return to Asian top-tier competition. The Thai champions are perennial contenders in the AFC Champions League and frequent opponents of K League clubs, setting up the tantalising prospect of Mulic lining up against his former league in future continental clashes.
Buriram, the most successful club in Thai football history, will be hoping that Mulic’s experience and physicality can give them an extra edge both domestically and in Asia.
