A recent report by the Spanish sports newspaper AS raised the possibility that Japanese international midfielder Takefusa Kubo may be included in the Real Madrid Senior Squad in the 2022-23 season.

Football-Asian.com understands that it will be very, very difficult for Kubo to play in the Spanish La Liga next season with Real Madrid.

According to sources, the Spanish Capital Club highly appreciates Kubo's potential. However, they are still aware that it is not enough to play steadily in the 13th Champions League champion's match.

Non-EU quota issue is being discussed as the key to Kubo's registration of the Real Madrid first team squad. This is because Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior is expected to acquire Spanish citizenship soon.

But what's really important is not whether Vinicius gets Spanish citizenship. It is important whether Kubo will be able to compete in the Real Madrid Senior Squad.

Sources believe Real Madrid is still in the 'Formacion' stage of Kubo. He is still a growing young player.

However, in modern football, people in their 20s are no longer considered players for the future. Vinicius and Rodrigo Goez have already proven their skills at the same age as Kubo.

According to reliable sources, what Real Madrid expects from Kubo is the same transfer fee revenue as Martin Odegaard's transfer to Arsenal.

Real Madrid signed with Kubo for 2 million euros from FC Tokyo. Spanish sources have announced that Real Madrid regularly registers Japanese players in 'La Fabrica' in return for regular sponsorship from the Japan Football Association and the consortium of Japanese companies.

Kubo was part of this project. It would be the best scenario if Kubo could settle in the Real Madrid Senior Squad. However, he is set to sign Kylian Mbappe, and it is unrealistic to expect Kubo's place in Los Blancos, which Erling Haalland wants.

Kubo is currently proving his outstanding skills in Mallorca, but he will have to find a new team in the summer of 2022.

Japan's Messi is likely to sign a contract with Real Madrid as a bigger team than Mallorca even if he spends the pre-season together. However, Real Madrid will accept the offer of a permanent transfer of an appropriate amount.
