Promising Korean striker Kim Myeong-Jun has successfully entered the European stage.

Genk officially announced on their official website that they have recruited promising Korean striker Kim Myeong-Jun. The contract period announced by the club is 2 and a half years, with a 2-year extension option.

Kim Myeong-Jun joined the Genk youth team, Yong Genk. His jersey number is 89.

Born in 2006, Kim Myeong-Jun is a promising player created by the Pohang Steelers youth system. Kim Myeong-Jun, who graduated from Pohang Steel Middle School and Pohang Steel High School, signed a semi-pro contract with Pohang ahead of the 2024 season, becoming the second semi-pro player in Pohang's history.

In an interview with the club, Kim Myeong-Jun said, "Of course, I already knew about Genk. They are famous for developing great players," and "When they contacted me, I knew it was the ideal stage for me. I was impressed by the level here."

Genk is a rising powerhouse that was founded in 1988 and has won the Belgian Jupiler League (1st division) four times. Oh Hyun-gyu, who failed to establish himself at Celtic (Scotland) last season, transferred to Genk last summer and is currently in great form. Oh Hyun-gyu has played in 19 official matches and has scored 7 goals and 1 assist.
