Former Korean Olympic team coach Kim Hak-beom, a legend of Korean football, has been appointed as 'K-League Ambassador'.

On March 14, the Korea Professional Football Federation appointed former manager Kim Hak-beom as 'K-League Ambassador'.

Former coach Kim Hak-beom scored 1 goal in 13 professional soccer Super League matches in 1984 with the Kookmin Bank soccer team during his player days. After that, he played as a member of Kookmin Bank, a business team, until 1992, and then retired and worked as a banker for a while. He coached the Atlanta Olympic team in 1996, coached Cheonan Ilhwa and Seongnam Ilhwa from 1998, and started coaching at Seongnam Ilhwa in 2005. After that, he served as the manager of 4 K-League teams including Gangwon FC, Seongnam FC, and Gwangju FC.

Former coach Hak-beom Kim, coach of the U23 national team, also left achievements such as winning the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, winning the AFC U23 Championship in 2020, and advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic team.

Former coach Hak-beom Kim, who became a 'K-League Ambassador', is expected to play a role in promoting the K-League through personal activities and attending various official events hosted by the Federation in the future as a representative face of the K-League.

Former coach Kim Hak-beom said, "As I have received a lot of love through the K-League, I want to contribute to the league's development and box office through K-League ambassador activities in the future."
