Daejeon Hana Citizen's 2006-born striker Yoon Do-young is close to signing with the English Premier League club Brighton, according to foreign media reports.
The Athletic, a global sports media outlet, reported that "Brighton & Hove Albion is about to sign Yoon Do-young," and explained that "Daejeon has met the minimum transfer fee (buyout) clause that guarantees Yoon Do-young's transfer during the contract period."
They added that "Yoon Do-young is expected to transfer to Brighton next season (2025-2026 season).
Yoon Do-young, a promising prospect born in 2006, signed a semi-professional contract with Daejeon in January of last year while playing for Chungnam Machinery High School, an under-18 team affiliated with Daejeon, and signed a professional contract in August.
Last year, he played in 19 K League 1 matches, scoring 1 goal and 3 assists, and also scored 2 goals in 4 U-20 Asian Cup qualifying matches.
