Yang Min-hyeok is expected to gradually adapt to the English stage in the English Championship.
On the 30th (Korean time), Queens Park Rangers (QPR) announced on their official website that Yang Min-hyeok will join the team on loan for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season. His jersey number is 47, which he wore at Gangwon FC in the K League.
Yang Min-hyeok left Gangwon FC in the middle of this season and joined Tottenham, raising many expectations. He headed to London a month early at Tottenham's request, and there were positive predictions that he would debut soon as he wore jersey number 18. He also drew attention by sitting on the bench in the League Cup semifinal match against Liverpool.
However, he was not given a chance to debut. He was left out of the roster for the match against Tamworth in the English 5th division, which was the most likely timing, and anxiety grew. After that, he was included on the bench, but was not given a chance to play. It was in contrast to promising players such as Mikey Moore and Will Lancshire, who came from the club's youth system, who got opportunities one after another.
Yang Min-hyeok's move to the second division may be regrettable for fans, but it is not an incomprehensible situation. Rather, consistently playing in the second division can help Yang Min-hyeok grow. Senior national team players Um Ji-seong of Swansea City and Bae Jun-ho of Stoke City are also playing in the second division and improving their skills. It is also an opportunity for Yang Min-hyeok to personally show off his skills while reducing the burden.
